October 13, 2011 – Glorious Day

Lately I’ve been spending a lot of time staring up into the clouds.  Living in Texas we don’t always have a lot of big fluffy clouds, but over the last couple of days we’ve had some beautiful clouds (and even some actual rain).  When we were in Minnesota last summer, before Hannah got sick, we drove through a nature preserve and below is one of the several pictures I took of the gorgeous clouds that day.

One of my favorite songs is Glorious Day by Casting Crowns.  It is an amazing song that tells the story of Jesus, the last stanza of the song is my favorite part and it is what I long for every time I look into the clouds…

One day the trumpet will sound for His coming, One day the skies with His glories will shine, Wonderful day my Beloved One bringing, My Savior Jesus is mine…Living He loved me, Dying He saved me, Buried He carried my sins far away, Rising He justified freely forever, One day he’s coming, OH GLORIOUS DAY!

Every time I see a beautiful cloud I am always looking for Jesus, I know that one day He will be there…and I pray that it’s soon.   Is it just me, or does anyone else do the same thing?

In Him,

Amy
