For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Romans 8:24-25

September 28, 2012 – The Journey

It is hard to believe it has been two years since our journey began in the early morning hours of Tuesday, September 28, 2010.  In some ways it feels like yesterday and in other ways it feels like forever ago.  The only thing that we know for sure is that we are two years closer to Jesus and that much closer to being together with Hannah again!

It’s been a rough road in many ways, but through it all there is One thing that has remained true…God is in control.  He alone has gotten us through everything we have encountered in the last two years.  Nothing that has happened has taken Him by surprise, and one day it will all make sense.

Isaiah 55:8-9 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord.  “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.”

Through it all our hope endures!!!

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
