For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Romans 8:24-25

July 4, 2013 – Prayer Request

When I first saw this picture it immediately made me think of Hannah, and when Jacob saw it his first question was “Is that a picture of Hannah?”.  This scripture has been so close to my heart and it reminds me to never stop praying…and to remember where my hope comes from.

We have had so much in the past two plus years that we have had to be patient through, and our prayers have brought us so much closer to Jesus.  We have a new prayer request for Jacob.  Very early Monday morning Jacob had a very scary seizure.  He was transported to Children’s Plano where he had a CAT scan which came back normal, meaning they found no tumor or bleeding on his brain.  Next week he will be having more testing, and hopefully they will be able to figure out what caused the seizure.

We would appreciate prayers for Jacob, especially for his peace and comfort during this time and through the testing.  Jacob has been asking a lot of questions about Hannah and seems to be worried as Hannah died just before her 9th birthday, and Jacob will turn 9 in a couple of weeks.  Also, please pray for Bill and I as we go back to Children’s Dallas for Jacob’s tests … we have not been back there since Hannah’s death.

In Him,

Amy

Amy, I just now saw this note about Jacob. I am so sorry to hear he had a seizure. I am and will be praying that the doctors find exactly what caused it, and that he won’t have any more. I am also praying for you and Bill; I can’t even imagine the emotions/feelings the two of you are dealing with. You have such a positive attitude and your faith is inspirational. I think of you and your family often. I look forward to hearing good news about Jacob! God bless…
