February 21, 2013 – Grieving with Hope

This morning, I woke up very early with a strong urging to pray for a family who lost their beautiful daughter this past weekend.  Whenever I hear of someone’s child dying, it hits so deeply and I feel the ache and emptyness.

I’ve been listening a lot to Addison Road’s “What do I know of Holy?” and Phillips, Craig and Dean’s “Great I AM”.  God’s plan is not always what our plans are…in fact His plans are often very different.  It’s so easy to question His plan, as I still continually struggle with the “why?”.  Then, I remember (or, am reminded) — What do I know of Holy?  and, that there is only One who is  “I AM”.  The first line of Great I AM is a wonderful prayer… “I want to be close, close to Your side, so Heaven is real and death is a lie.”

Pray with us for this family as they struggle with the why’s, and pray that they feel the love of Jesus in an overwhelming way and stay very close to His side.

Longing for the day it all makes sense, and the day we will all be together again!

In Him,

Amy
